Demystifying web standards

Well not really.

I've rambled on about 'maintaining web standards' in the thoughts section of my miniSite. It can be simply dissolved into accessibility and usability.

I can try to argue which is more important : but all of the projects led by the World Wide Web Consortium are on-going and always moving positively forward. Only good things come from there :).

I've previously described different markup languages, such as xHTML, CSS and WML that are able to display data to different platforms. That is basically the esprit de'corps. Like .net and many counterparts, it is simply about conveying data to different platforms reliably. The standards are there to be a guide to designers and techhies to convey data.

I'm sure that there are people out there thinking, "Well, that's not exactly so". If you are thinking that, contact me and I'll place your comments on my miniSite. Feedback is much appreciated. :)

See the World Wide Web Consortium site for further information, or Google for it.
